The website is a community resource designed to provide information about public events in the Par Bay area.

The website received funding from Par Bay Big Local which paid for the initial design and  for the ongoing running costs. This funding lasts for 5 years from 2018 to 2023.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We only collect the information you provide on the ‘Submit your event form’ to use for it’s intended purposes

We collect and store the information you submit to us about events (and corresponding locations) you would like to publish on our site for 


We do not allow comments on this site. Any comments made on your websites, blog pages or social media platforms regarding a diary entry made on Par Pay Diary are the responsibility of the  owners of the website, blog page or social media


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

You are responsible for the content and images you upload to Par Bay Diary through the “Submit your event’ form

Any content and images uploaded that breach our code of conduct or terms and conditions will be removed and may be reported. Please see our Terms and Conditions

Contact forms

We provide a contact form for you use to contact us at our email address. By using this form you are consenting for your email address  and any content of any emails correspondence with us to be held at our email address

How long we retain your data

We have a principle of responsible deletion and will remove/correct/delete data during regular 6 weekly checks

What data breach procedures we have in place

We regularly review, and where necessary, update your privacy information. We will bring any new uses of an individual’s personal data to their attention before we start the processing

To prevent and minimise data breeches we only keep the information you give us regarding your event and we conduct regular house keeping checks to ensure the site is still secure. Alongside this our security is regularly reviewed and regularly updated  and the site is moderated by a small team with regular password revisions

We undertake  periodic  information audits to find out what personal data we hold and what we do with it.

We put ourselves in the position of the people we’re collecting information about.

We carry out user testing to evaluate how effective our privacyinformation is.

In the event of data breaches we will inform you as soon as possible and provide you with any details and information we have regarding the breach

What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data

We use Google analytics to track user trends and visitor traffic. no personal data is gathered for the purposes of profiling

We also use Google services to generate maps and provide autocompletion when searching for events by location, which may collect data via your browser in accordance to Google’s privacy policy.
